16. How do you acquire HIV/AIDS?  HIV/AIDS is transmitted via 3 main routes:  1. transfer of body secretions through sexual contact  2. sharing of contaminated needles and syringes ( blood and blood products )  3. it can be transferred from mother to baby during pregnancy

17. HIV/AIDS is not transmitted by:  1. kissing or coughing ( but avoid mouth to mouth kissing,)  2. hugging  3. sharing the same toilet and shower  4. insect bites  5. using utensils which was used by an aids victim  6. swimming in the same pool

Prevention of AIDS and HIV  1. abstain from sex outside of a mutually faithful relationship  2. don’t share toothbrush, razors, needles or any other things that can get contaminated with blood  3. have your self tested if you know that you having an extra-marital affair  4. use contraceptives, like condoms
