2 DAY 1: Students will: Learn about lines. They will understand the different feelings a line can give you. They will then create a non-objective line drawing

3 DAY 1 NOTES WORTH 10 PTS SKETCHBOOK CHECK DUE 8/20 Students will be show these notes. They are expected to create visual notes on the following terms LineGestural Lines Expressive Variety Contour Hatching Cross-hatching Students are allowed to also use textbooks

5 DRAWING ACTIVITY In your sketchbook draw a continues line over and over making different patterns and design. You are not trying to draw a subject. You are creating a non-objective drawing. You may use zig zag, curly, wavy, straight and ect. Lines Do not limit yourself. Please use pencil Overlap the lines many times.

7 DAY 2: 8/20 Students will… Have a sketchbook check 10 Points Answer the personal question in sketchbook

8 GROUP WORK In your group tell me what you think the following quote means. One person in your group will share out about what your group said.

9 SKETCH BOOK QUESTION What does “crossing the Line” mean to you? Can it be something good or bad? Why is it good or bad to you? Can you cross a line or a barrier to greatness? What do you think the quote means? Due Tomorrow 8/21 10 points

10 WHAT MOTIVATES YOU? In you sketchbook sketch 3 different things that motivate you. Basketball Animals Music Art Dance Baseball Soccer Due 8/21

11 HOMEWORK Sketchbook check with personal questions and 3 drawings of motivate you due tomorrow.

12 DAY 3 Students will… explore Zentangles Students will make three designs which connect what motivates them and zentangles https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3y-9XVnjTo

14 DAY 4- 10 Students will pick one design to be put on large paper. Students will first draw their design with pencil Remember composition. This project is due Monday 31 at 9:30

15 DAY 10 Finish must finish their project by 9:30 am Line test Review

16 DAY 11 Line Test September 1, 2015
