4. Neutralisation Measure 20cm3 of hydrochloric acid into a beaker.
Add a few drops of UI soln.
Using a pipette, add sodium hydroxide to the acid.
Observe.
Allow small groups of students to complete this as an egg race and give the first team a prose for getting a neutral solution.

5. Set up the data logger Log onto the computer.
Take a temperature probe and put it into the USB drive.
Take the pH probe and put it into the USB drive.
Start, programmes, Vernier Software, LoggerPro

6. Neutralisation Measure 30ml of HCl into a beaker.
Add a little squirt of UI soln.
Put the probe into the ice.
Start collecting the data.
Add NaOH slowly until you have added 35ml.
Stop collecting the data and autoscale.
Print your graph.

7. Neutralisation Mark in red pen where the graph is acid.
Mark in blue pen where the graph is basic.
Make in green pen where neutralisation happens.
Contrast the temperature and the pH graph – what do they show you?
