Chapter 10 Exploring Polygons and Area Geometry Notes June 1? 2? Who cares? Polygons – what the heck is a convex polygon and why does Mr. Knopp think I want to learn this. Polly want a cracker. I wonder if I can get points for that on a quiz. Probably not – teachers don’t have a sense of humor. When is this class ever going to end. 10-1 What are they? A polygon is a closed figure formed by a finite number of coplaner segments such that: 1.The sides that have a common endpoint are noncollinear. 2.Each side intersects exactly two other sides, but only at their endpoints.
