16.2.2.2 Sources of information Determine the preferred name for a place from gazetteers and other reference sources in a language preferred by the agency (AACR2 “in English”) gazetteers and other reference sources issued in the jurisdiction in which the place is located LC-PCC PS 16.2.2.2 For names in New Zealand, base the preferred name on the form found in Land Information New Zealand’s New Zealand Gazetteer of Official Geographic Names
