Step 1: Selecting the Member Anyone can nominate another member for an award. No one can nominate themselves. Consider nominating the member for Region 4, MGA, and IEEE USA.

Step 2: Selecting the Award Use the AWARD NOMINATION PROCESS tool to select the appropriate award(s). Ask yourself: Do the member’s achievements fit the award?

Step 3: Completing the Nomination The form must be accurately completed to be considered. No substitutes to the form will be considered for any of the awards. Follow the instructions carefully. Selection committees will not research unsupported claims. Selection committees will not enhance the nominations.

Step 4: Obtaining Supporting Documents Ask two or more members to write a one page supporting document to the nomination. Either collect the documents to attach to the nomination or ask to be copied if the supporting document is to be submitted directly.

The Jack Sherman Outstanding Member Award Criteria: –Service contributions to IEEE, including all offices held. –Significant IEEE activities. –Non-IEEE activities. –Service to society, including civic organizations and charities. Professional Achievement Award – IEEE USAProfessional Achievement Award Achievement Award – MGAAchievement Award

Outstanding Professional Award CRITERIA: –Importance of technical contributions. –Patents, designs, papers and technical presentations. –Years of technical distinction and/or responsible charge. –Service to the Institute: –Service to the engineering profession in professional organizations other than IEEE. –Recognition through other awards. Awards in each of the Technical Areas in TAB

Region 4 Gold Award Singular achievement in the development and completion of a project(s) or activity (ies) which are directed to the fulfillment of one or more of the Region’s goals and/or objectives. Must not have received another Regional Achievement Award, Leadership or Innovation Award for the same project/work GOLD Achievement AwardGOLD Achievement Award - MGA

Outstanding Large Section Award Awarded to one Section to recognize the excellent work of the Section in the past year. The total membership of a Large Section (including Students) shall be 501 or greater as of 31 December of the prior year.

Outstanding Small Section Award Award will be awarded to one Section to recognize the excellent work of the Section in the past year. The total membership of a Small Section (including Students) shall be 500 or less as of 31 December of the prior year.
