4 Policy for rescue information Any information to emergency responders has to be: -what they really want, -in a format which is easily and quickly accessible, -when they need it on site, -preferably at no cost.

7 ISO17840 standard for ‘rescue information’ ISO17840 is divided into 4 parts: Part 1: Rescue Sheet for passenger vehicles: approved by ISO in November 2014. Will be published soon. Part 2: Rescue sheet for busses, coaches, and heavy commercial vehicles Part 3: Rescue and training manuals (for HV batteries) Part 4: Drive line identification signs.

10 ISO17840 standard for ‘rescue information’ Next steps RECHARGE indicated its interest in the working group to develop (work already in progress for some time) templates on HV batteries for use by emergency responders: 1.Rescue sheet for battery in vehicle 2.Rescue sheet for battery in storage 3.Training manual (ERG) 4.BIF – battery information fact sheet CTIF/ISO has proposed a planning for the different working groups. Time to release of ISO Standard: 3 years (2018)
