2. DS200 IDEA EXTENSION PORT PARAMETERS

3. PURPOSEPURPOSE The purpose of this presentation is to explain the details of all the extension port parameters listed in Idea.

4. PORT PARAMETERS These parameters can be set specifically for individual ports and then can be copied to multiple ports by the use of Multiple Port Parameters menu.

5. PORT PARAMETERS

6. ‘#’, ‘*’ keys active: If programmed as Yes, extensions can use their # keys to put theirs calls on hold and * keys to end the calls. Otherwise, these keys do not have special functions.

7. PORT PARAMETERS Access a DISA line with: While you are away from the system, you can call the system’s DISA line, and make external calls using your password. This program lets you to make: -Calls with your own authority. -Or only local calls.

8. PORT PARAMETERS Example: -Your extension number is 1113 and you have long distance call authority. -You are at home and you need to make a call for business. -Call the system’s DISA line throguh your home phone. -Dial 9 + 1113 + your password do dial : local & long distance numbers, or only local numbers.

9. PORT PARAMETERS ARS access authority levels: They are read-only parameters and show the LCR authority of extension in Day and Night modes.

10. PORT PARAMETERS Background music mode: Using this feature, you can listen to the external music source through your handsfree telephone.

11. PORT PARAMETERS Call Pick-Up Group No: They are read-only parameters and show the number of next extension that can pick up the incoming calls be pressing “5”.  Call pick up groups can be formed with different extensions for Day and Night Modes.

12. PORT PARAMETERS Calls are picked-up with offhook: You can program the extension to pick up calls from his group by: -Pressing 5, or -Just lifting the handset.

13. PORT PARAMETERS Can access by 9 only trunk whom ringing-sbsc is own: You can program the extension to access: -All lines (within his authority), or -Only to the lines that ring on himself.

14. PORT PARAMETERS Can Activate ‘Call Back’ : Sets the permission of the extension to use Call Back facility. Can Activate ‘Call Pick-up’ : Sets the permission of the extension to use Call Pick-up facility.

15. PORT PARAMETERS Can activate “Follow Me”: Sets the permission of the extension to use Follow Me facility.

16. PORT PARAMETERS Can be forwarded to Unanswered/Busy ACD menus: Sets the permission of the extension to be forwarded to EVM200 when he calls an extension who has permission to use EVM menus when he is busy / not answering.   Also see the parameter “Unanswered/Busy calls return to”.

17. PORT PARAMETERS Can be signalled: Decides whether other extensions can press “9” to warn this extension, when he is busy.

18. PORT PARAMETERS Can call everyone: Sets the permission of the extension to call the extensions that are marked as “cannot be called”.

19. PORT PARAMETERS Can do “break-in” in E&M PLC mode: Sets the permission of the extension to intrude PRI, PLC and LB lines when the system is in PLC mode.

20. PORT PARAMETERS Can do “cut-in” in E&M PLC mode: Sets the permission of the extension to terminate a line’s ongoing conversation (after intruding that line) when the system is in PLC mode.

21. PORT PARAMETERS Can do “step-by-step” in E&M PLC mode: Sets the permission of the extension to go to remote systems through PLC lines of other transient systems, just by dialing access codes of PLC lines when the system is in PLC mode.

22. PORT PARAMETERS Hotline mode: Programs the extension for one of the following functions after lifting handset: - immediate / delayed call to a specific extension or line -immediate / delayed access to a line -immediate call for common pool numbers (997, 998, 999).

23. PORT PARAMETERS Hotline: Programs the number of extension or line if the hotline mode is defined as call to extension or line. Can hold in hotline mode: Sets the permission of the extension to put his call on hold when he is programmed as a hot line extension.

24. PORT PARAMETERS Can leave voice message: Sets the permission of the extension to leave voice messages to other extensions.

25. PORT PARAMETERS Charging Pulse Account Activated : Sets pulse account for extensions. Activates GPBX account use even in non – GPBX mode of system.   When the pulse in the account becomes 0, call is disconnected.

26. PORT PARAMETERS CLID Type: Sets the format of Caller ID sent to extension as DTMF or FSK. (Valid only for EX200 (0/16C) ports.) CLIP : Sets the permission of the extension to see the Caller ID. (Valid only for all extension types.)

27. PORT PARAMETERS CLIR (CLID presentation restriction): The extension can use this feature to hide his number from the party he calls. Common pool call authority : Sets the permission of the extension to call common pool numbers beyond his normal authority level. Can be set different for Day and Night Modes.

28. PORT PARAMETERS Conference Authority: Sets the permission of the extension to put the call on hold and then press ‘5’ to start a conference call. CRL port filter: Determines whether the calls of the extension will appear in the records or not.

29. PORT PARAMETERS Dialing Type: Sets the permission of the extension to dial DTMF & DP or only DP digits. Do Not Disturb active: Using this feature, you can set your telephone to ring only once in incomign calls.

30. PORT PARAMETERS DTMF Detection Time: Adjusts the duration DTMF digits dialled by the extension.

31. PORT PARAMETERS Echo Canceler Usage: Sets echo canceller facility on the extension in order to increase general performance of voice transmission and DTMF receipt.   Is not available for DS200S / DS200M systems.   Must be enabled for DECT extensions.

32. PORT PARAMETERS Executive Secretary Group: Extensions in the same executive secretary group (different than 0) can call each other directly even when they have Follow Me activated.   Works only for Follow Me Secretary Mode (89 + extension number).   Can be set different for Day and Night modes.

33. PORT PARAMETERS Executive Secretary Mode: Using this feature, you can temporarily deactivate the forwarding that has been made to you.   When ‘Yes’ is used, forwarding takes place.   When ‘No’ is used, forwarding is temporarily canceled. You later set is as ‘Yes’ to reactivate it.

34. PORT PARAMETERS External transfer lock: Sets the permission of other extensions to transfer an external call to this extension.

35. PORT PARAMETERS Fax (VoIP): If a fax machine is connected to an extension and if this extension is receiving fax through VoIP lines as well, this parameter must be used ‘Yes’.

36. PORT PARAMETERS Flash with hook switch: Sets the permission of the extension to use his hook switch to put calls on hold.

37. PORT PARAMETERS Follow Me / Follow Me Busy / Follow Me No Answer: Using these features, you can forward your calls to another extension unconditionally, or when you are busy, or you do not answer the call in three rings.   Can be set different for Day and Night modes.

38. PORT PARAMETERS Forced Greeting Message: Can be used to play a message to the extension when he goes off-hook.

39. PORT PARAMETERS Forward External / Internal and Busy / Answered Calls To PBX: These four parameters are used to forward the extension’s calls to the next extension in his PBX group. The settings apply to :   internal calls when busy   internal calls when no answer   external calls when busy   external call when no answer

40. PORT PARAMETERS Group Number: Sets / shows the group number of extension. This group number used to decide the accessibility by other extensions: extensions in the same group can call each other directly, but cannot call other groups’ extensions.   Bidirectional blocked call extensions menu of IDEA forms the extension groups by selecting multiple extensions at a time.

41. PORT PARAMETERS Hotel Room: Sets the extension as hotel room extension.   Only hotel room extensions can use some features like Check-In, Check-Out.   Hotel room extensions cannot use some features like Follow Me, Call Back.

42. PORT PARAMETERS Hotel Room Call Authority: Sets the permission of the extension to call hotel room extensions. In Error State: This is a read-only parameter. If the extension has left his phone off-hook, ‘Yes’ is seen.

43. PORT PARAMETERS Inaccessible via DISA: Determines whether the extension can be reached through ACD / DISA lines or not.   Can be set different for Day and Night modes.

44. PORT PARAMETERS Incoming calls are blocked: Sets the permission of the extension to be reached by internal / external callers.   When marked used as ‘Yes’, only the extensions that ‘can call everyone’ reach this extension.

45. PORT PARAMETERS Incoming calls can be picked-up: Determines whether other extensions can pick up the calls of this extension or not.   Valid both for call pick up with ’82’ and group call pick up with ‘5’.

46. PORT PARAMETERS Incoming external call timeout: Defines a time limit for incoming external calls to the extension.

47. PORT PARAMETERS Internal calls can be restricted with Phone Lock Table: Can be used to activate Phone Lock Table for extensions as well.   When used as ‘No’, Phone Lock Table controls access to Leading Digits in LCR and feature activation codes.   When used as ‘Yes’, access to port codes is also checked.

48. PORT PARAMETERS Intrusion authority level: Sets the intrusion authority level for extension.   Extensions can intrude other extensions with lower intrusion level.   Extensions with intrusion level 7 can intrude everyone.

49. PORT PARAMETERS KTS Device: This is a read-only parameter. Shows if the extension is using a telephone (LT200, FT20) or DSS module connected to Karel serial data line.

50. PORT PARAMETERS Language Selection: Used to determine the language of messages on Iris / ST20. -If T, then messages are in Turkish. -If E, then messages are in English.   These messages are not produced with telephone software. They are the messages which are directly taken from CPU side (e.g. busy extension message).

51. PORT PARAMETERS Line Access Group: Used to define the group of lines that the extension can use. e.g. If programmed as 11, the extension can use only the lines that are in access group 11.   See Line Parameters.PPT for line access groups.

52. PORT PARAMETERS Line Access Message: If programmed as ‘Yes’, a message is played to the extension when he presses ‘9’ to access an external line.

53. PORT PARAMETERS Line Use: Sets the permission of the extension to be able to access external lines.   This is different from defining the authority level.   Can be set different for Day and Night Modes.

54. PORT PARAMETERS Local Extension: A local extension can call the extension in his private pool just by dialing the register number. e.g. When a local extension presses 2, the system dials the extension number in private pool register 2.

55. PORT PARAMETERS Lock Message : Sets the permission of the extension to: - Lock his messages so that they are not erased & - Record his conversation.

56. PORT PARAMETERS Message Waiting: This is a read-only parameter. If it is ‘Yes’, there is a message that this extension has not listened to.

57. PORT PARAMETERS Message Waiting Lamp: Using this program, you can activate Message Waiting Lamp of the extension, when he has a new message.   The lamp turns on for a while in each 7 or 5 seconds, when there is a new message.

58. PORT PARAMETERS NC_Monitor Active: Not used.

59. PORT PARAMETERS Outgoing Calls Are Blocked: Sets the permission of the extension to make any type of calls. When set as ‘No’, extension receives error tone when he lifts handset.   Can be set different for Day and Night Modes.

60. PORT PARAMETERS Outgoing Calls Can Be Dropped: Sets the permission of other extensions to drop the ongoing calls of this extension and get the line for their use. When set as ‘No’, no one can drop this extension's calls.   Only the extension with intrusion authority 5 or more can use the code 798 + extension number to drop that extension’s ongoing call.

61. PORT PARAMETERS Outgoing external call timeout: Defines a time limit for outgoing external calls to the extension. Pager & Pager Code: –Not used.

62. PORT PARAMETERS Parallel Caller ID watch in PBX group active: When set as ‘Yes’, other members of PBX group of this extension can also see the CLID of an incoming call.   Does not activate parallel ringing, activates just parallel display.   Can be set different for Day and Night modes.

63. PORT PARAMETERS Password: Shows if the extension has a defined password or not. If a password exists, it appears as ****.   If an extension forgets his password, system supervisor can dial ‘801120 + extension number’ to set the password to 9999.

64. PORT PARAMETERS PBX: These read-only parameters show the next extension in the PBX group for Day and Night modes.

65. PORT PARAMETERS Periodic warning rings for new voice- mail: When set as ‘Yes’, extension’s telephone rings once in every 10 minutes if he has a new message. When set as ‘No’, the telephone does not ring with new messages.

66. PORT PARAMETERS Permanent “Absent” Message Exists: This read-only parameter turns to ‘Yes’ if the extension has recorded an absent message by dialing 737 2.

67. PORT PARAMETERS Permanent “Reminder with Message” Exists: This read-only parameter turns to ‘Yes’ if the extension has recorded a permanent reminder message by dialing 8387.

68. PORT PARAMETERS Personnel Phone: -Decides which charging unit will be used by this extension. -Each line can have two different unit charge prices for guests and for personnel. This program chooses which one will be used for the extension.

69. PORT PARAMETERS Phone Lock Level: You can lock your telephone so that the programmed row of Phone Lock Table cannot be used. Example: - -Row 2 of Phone Lock Table contains digits 81. - -If extension 1110 is locked for level 2, he cannot activate Call Back: when he dials 81, he receives error tone.

70. PORT PARAMETERS Phone Locked: You can use this facility to lock your phone for external calls. When you press ‘9’ to access a line, you need to enter your password before dialing the external number.

71. PORT PARAMETERS Prompt date and time before each voice-mail: – While listening to a message, the system first reads the time & date when the message was left. – When set as ‘No’, time and date are not played.

72. PORT PARAMETERS Quick call: When enabled, the extension can use single digits for activating some functions.   Function definitions of single digits are made in Quick Call Table menu.

73. PORT PARAMETERS Reminder active & Reminder Time: You can activate reminder service for three different times using 6 parameters.

74. PORT PARAMETERS ‘Reminder with message’ exists: This read-only parameter appears as ‘Yes’ if you have activated 8384-coded reminder service by recording a message as well.

75. PORT PARAMETERS Room tidiness-vacancy: These read-only parameters show the status of your room, provided that you are defined as a hotel room extension.   Tidiness status of the room is defined by the extension himself, using code 730.   Vacancy status is also defined using the same code 730, but operator can define this status.

76. PORT PARAMETERS Secretary follow me: You can use this feature to forward your calls to another extension. Differences between Follow Me and Secretary Follow Me:   Follow Me: 85 + extension no. Secretary Follow Me: 89 + extension no.   Dial tone changes and FT20/LT200 displays message in Follow Me. These do not happen with Secretary Follow Me.   Extensions in executive secretary group 0 can activate Follow Me, but cannot activate Secretary Follow Me.

77. PORT PARAMETERS Silent Mode: You can use this feature to use a headset instead of handset. Thus, you do not need to go use the handset while making calls. In silent mode,   You hear silence when you are idle.   You hear a ring tone when there is an incoming call. You can answer that call by pressing ‘0’.

78. PORT PARAMETERS System messages language: Used to determine the language of system messages played to the extension: -If T, then messages on EVM200 main board are played. -If E, then messages on add-on Flash module are played.   Add-on Flash module is to be prepared by Karel as the second language option for system messages.

79. PORT PARAMETERS Temporary “Absent” Message Exists: This read-only parameter turns to ‘Yes’ if the extension has recorded an absent message by dialing 8648.

80. PORT PARAMETERS Tone on busy: Using this feature, you can decide which tone will be heard by callers when you are busy: busy or ring tone.   Valid for internal calls, external calls coming through ACD/ DISA lines, or network mode lines.   Can be set different for Day and Night modes.

81. PORT PARAMETERS Unanswered/Busy calls return to: Sets the permission of the extension to use EVM facilities when he is busy or not answering, for the calls coming through non ACD lines.   When set as ‘ACD menus’, even when the call is not coming from an ACD line, the call will be forwarded to EVM200 if the extension is busy (e.g. internal calls).

82. PORT PARAMETERS Uniform distribution on PBX group: Sets uniform distribution for the incoming calls of this extension among his PBX group.   When uniform distribution is active for an extension, his second call will ring on the next extension in his PBX group, his third call will ring on the one after that...   Valid for incoming external calls only.

83. PORT PARAMETERS Voice-mail box access permission: Activates / deactivates voice-mail of the extension for external callers.   When set as “Does not exist”, the external callers calling the systems through DISA / ACD lines, cannot leave a message to this extension by dialing ’82’.
