Internal Controls Segregation of Duties  Someone other than the person requesting reimbursement should be approving the requests and signing the manual check  Someone other than the person using the credit card should be approving the statement for payment Supporting Documentation  Keep up with your receipts  Attach all receipts and other relevant information to credit card statements, invoices and/or reimbursement forms

6. Internal Controls  When receiving fees from someone, make sure receipts are issued  School credit cards and checks should be stored in a secure location  While out of the office, the principal should not sign blank checks and leave them in the office for emergencies. Someone, such as a board chair, should be designated to sign in their absence.

7.
