Women wanted independence and to be entitled to their own opinions Some different right’s women wanted were voting and working right’s. All women wanted to be treated equally. They wanted the same rights as men. Women wanted to join the Military and go to school. Women wanted to be treated like human beings.

Susan B Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton They formed a league which is known as the National Women Suffrage Association. First formed at New York on May 15,1869 This League was developed to get the women’s vote. Women would protest and petition. Opposed the 15 th amendment

Section 1- States every one should have equal rights no matter the sex or race Section 2- States-The congress is in charge. Section 3- States it takes two years to ratify. Alice Paul believed in equal Amendments. She believed every citizen should have equal rights. The equal rights amendment was passed in 1972

Colorado was the first State to allow women to vote Utah and Idaho let women vote in 1876 The Federal woman suffrage amendment was written by Susan Anthony It was in congress in1878 Wyoming passed the first women’s suffrage law The national trade union helped women get payed equally as men.

Women should be respected Protected Rights- 14 th amendment Have equal Opportunities same as men. Not be Discrimination on the account of Race- Should not be discriminated because of color Sex- Should not be discrimination Because if you are male or female

A document signed by men and women in 1848 About 68 women and 32 men signed. Convention held in Seneca New York The women who was responsible for this was Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Discussed major issues on women and rights Help women to get equal rights

Employment- Women can get Jobs and make a living. Reproductive Rights- help people with health care Insurance and Pensions- in risk regulation and finances, is a form of risk management primarily used to evade against the risk of a subject loss. Education- women can go to school and get degrees That is why we need equal amendments

The national trade union helped women get more jobs and get paid more. The national women suffrage association- helped women to vote The women's bureau of department of labor was formed so women could have better working conditions Equal pay act- It was illegal to pay a women less than a man for the same job The pregnancy women's act- made discrimination illegal against pregnant women. Title Ix of the education amendment - bans sex discrimination in schools

Betty Friedan also formed National women organization. California was first state to declare no fault divorce. Gloria Steinem was a women who also helped with women’s rights. The supreme court declares legal abortion because of Roy vs. Wade EEOC- sex segrated wanted ads are illegal President Lyndon Johnston affirmative policy was based on discrimination

National women’s historical park is located in New York. It celebrates Women recognition in our society. The national park gives you a tour year round of the house of Elizabeth Stanton. It also includes Wesleyan chapel first convention. It also includes a vision center and education of our culture It is important because it is part of the women’s suffrage.
