Physical traits They have sensitive ears to hear predators coming. They have a long tail to use as a fifth leg. They have big springy feet to take big jumps.

Behavior adaptations They travel in mobs to make it harder for dingoes to get to them. They also put their joeys in the pouch if endangered.

Habitat / Ecosystem What country does it live in? It lives in Australia Its environment is? It live in a warm temperate area, with grassland, forest, woodland and they like it to be a little wet.

Climate Its climate is mostly warm and dry.

Diet/ Food Chain What does it eats? Kangaroos eat grass and plants. It is a herbivore. It predator is? The dingoes. The dingoes travel in packs and closes in on the kangaroos. But it is hard for them because they travel up to amazing speeds..

What is its niche. Its niche is the primary consumer. The primary consumer is the animal that only consumes plants and other animals eat it.

Learned behaviors They box for protection They put their joeys in their pouch for protection. They use their tails as a fifth leg. Staying in large groups for protection.

Inherited traits Its big legs. Its big large pointy ears. Its red, grey, and drown skin. Its long tail.

Fun facts 1 kangaroos use their tail as a fifth leg. 2 A kangaroo can hop up to 60mph. 3 kangaroos can go months with out drinking water. 4 they weigh up to 200 lbs. 5 A kangaroo can jump up to 3 times it self.
