10 The GREAT THYLAKOID SCULPTING COMPETITION Your Task: Create a model of light reactions occurring across a thylakoid membrane. Rules: 1.Teams of two. 2.Write your names on your board. They must be large and clearly legible. 3.To “hand-in” this assignment, you need to have a member of the teaching team to take a picture of it. 4.Consult with any member of the teaching team to review HOW the thylakoid makes ATP and NADPH. Your completed assignment must be initialed by a member of the teaching team. 5.This is a learning exercise ONLY if you make it one.

11 The GREAT THYLAKOID SCULPTING COMPETITION Your Task: Create a model of light reactions occurring across a thylakoid membrane. Your model must include representations of: PSII, pq, the cytochrome complex, pc, PSI, fd, NADP+ reductase, ATP synthase, electrons, protons, water, NADP+, NADPH, O 2, ATP, ADP, P i You must be done and cleaned up by 2:00 pm You must get a picture of your work with your names written clearly on it (the model is worth 3 pts; explaining it to a member of the teaching team = 2 pts). The top 5 entries as judged by the teaching team will receive a prize (to be awarded in lab).
