Step # 2 Put the data numbers in order, smallest to largest:

Step # 3 Find the minimum (smallest number in the set of data) minimum

Step # 4 Find the maximum (largest number in the set of data) maximum

Step # 5 Find the RANGE Equation: Maximum - Minimum = RANGE This is the DISTANCE from (maximum) to (minimum) on the axis.

Step # 5 Continued MATH! is the RANGE !!!

Step # 6 Look at the graph paper

Step # 6 Continued Count the # of boxes from side to side (across or HORIZONTALLY)

Step # 7 Divide the RANGE by the number of boxes from step # 6 MATH!.8
