3 Goals:  to help students write effectively according to the conventions of North American universities  to provide students with the skills necessary to be successful writers

4 Four modules:  “Getting Ready to Write”  “Developing Your Ideas”  “Revising Your Work”  “Editing and Polishing”

6 “Avoiding Plagiarism” to help ELLs understand what plagiarism is in the context of higher education in the US what the consequences might be how to avoid it

9 Pilot Project in 2012:  30 students from Mesa College (blended)  30 students from Excelsior College (online)
