4 TÜBİTAK SOCRATES II European Community action programme in the field of education  Supports European cooperation in all areas of education  Helps fund a wide range of partnership and exchange schemes, including grants to study, teach, follow a training course or get work experience abroad.  Open to everyone in the education sector who is interested in innovative European projects and networks designed to improve teaching and learning.  Second phase of the programme will run for seven years (2000-2006 - Socrates II)

5 TÜBİTAK SOCRATES II European Community action programme in the field of education Objectives  to strengthen the European dimension of education at all levels  to improve the knowledge of European languages  to promote cooperation and mobility throughout education  to encourage innovation in education  to promote equal opportunities in all sectors of education.
