Invention: Jell-O My invention is on Jell-O. Eli Cooper invented Jell-O in 1845.It was invented because they thought if it went into stores that maybe people would buy it. How it made life easier is by when you made homemade Jell-O only the only ingredient you would have to use is boiled water and by mixing fruit in the Jell-O then kids will eat it. Here are some really neat facts about how Jell-O was invented. 1. Peter Cooper’s wife named Jell-O Jell-O. 2. The first flavors of Jell-O were strawberry, raspberry, orange and lemon. 3. The best population of where they’re selling Jell-O is Utah. 4. Jell-O is made from tasteless, order less and colorless products. Peter Cooper was born in 1791 in New York City and died in 1883.

When Peter Cooper was a little boy he did not go to school. For three years he was employed in Hempstead. At the age of 17 Cooper became a coach maker in NYC. With the trades cooper became adept. Coopers wife came up with the name of Jell-O. Trades were considered more useful than education. Cooper invented a rotary steam engine. He concocted a method of siphoning power from ocean tides. He also invented a machine for shaping wheel hubs. In my opinion, he became famous making Jell-O, for how he invented Jell-O, and how he grew up. February 23,2012 Teller Village Ln 403 Teller Village Ln Oak Ridge, TN 37830 Dear Mr. Peter Cooper, I wanted to write and thank you for creating Jell-O. Jell-O is my favorite desert because after I get done eating dinner I go to the kitchen and grab the Jell-O out of the fridge to eat it. I really like buying Jell-O from the stores then taking it home to eat it. You’re friend, Tiara J Lewis
