2 Introduction  A band is looking to widen their popular to older people and you are the band’s producers. The band need you and your other producers to make a video to get the older coward hook on one of the band’s song. 3 The Task  The students are to use window movie maker to make a video to a song for the band of their choice. The video will be made to increase the band’s popular with an older coward. 4 Procedure Part 1  In your groups of four, pick a song and then get it a proved by the teacher.  Then have the teacher download or copy the song file for the groups, which will be on a flash drive for each group and will be return at the end of class to the teacher to hold on to. 5 Procedure Part 2  Then the students will use the links from the teacher to use windows movie maker and ask the teacher for assistants.  Click here for links and example of video made in windows movie maker. 6 Procedure Part 3  Then start working on getting pictures or slides in order to maker the video.  Then the students in their groups can start making their videos.  As the groups start the video have one or two start recording what they did to make the video for an older coward and why they pick the song they pick. 7 Procedure Part 4  Then the groups will show the finished video to the class and have the class rate the video on a scale of 1 to 10. The group presenting will hand in their paper as well.  Also the students that are rating the video from the groups, will write why they rated the video that number.  Then in class discuss on what they learn about making videos. 8 Conclusion  The students can now make their own videos.  Understand windows movie maker.  Understand how video are made.  Form an idea about how videos effect their audiences. 9 Evaluation 1. Did the students make an original video? 2. Did the students learn anything about music? 3. Did the students understand how music video are made to catch peoples eye? 4. Did the students learn how to use a computer program to make videos? 5. The essay that the students will write will answer what they found about the process of making the video and who it can affect an audience and compare them to what they see on TV now. 10 Teacher information Part 1  This is made for fourth grade and up.  This video project is to teach students how to make music video.  How they can effect an audience.  Learn to make conclusion about meaning of the videos.  This lesson will take about a week and half to two weeks. 11 Teacher information Part 2  I would work with windows movie maker before you start this lesson.  Then I would start this lesson by asking students “If they would like to make a video”.  Then bring up the web quest and start breaking the class into groups.  Once in their group I would go over how to use movie maker and let them start to pick their songs.  Then approve their song and let them start the project and be ready for any questions on movie maker
