Cords 2 Dec. 2005 Rj45 cords The generic name CORDS defines a flexible cable, terminated with 2 Rj45 plugs. Depending on its function and the position it has in the cabling system, the cord assumes different name: Patch cords Work area cord Equipment cord Consolidation point cord Generic Cabling System Standards define for each function a set of rules

Cords 3 Dec. 2005 Patch cords (generally flexible cable) Used to cross connect- limited in length- max 5m generally flexible cable Work area cord (generally flexible cable) Used to connect Equipment to TO- length up to 20m Equipment cord (generally flexible cable) Used to connect Active components in the Rack- limited to 5m max. Consolidation point cord (generally flexible cable but could be solid) Used to connect T.O. or M.U.T.O. to Consolidation Point – part of Permanent Link design- max length not specified but calculated according to formula in the Standard Rj45 cords

Cords 5 Dec. 2005 RJ45 patch cords (not Commercial line) All R&Mfreenet cords are designed, manufactured and tested according to latest Cabling Standards. They fulfil the requirements of class D (classic) or E (star) according to latest ISO/IEC and EN as well as TIA/EIA. Except Commercial Line, R&Mfreenet Cords are manufactured using R&Mfreenet Cat. 6 plug and proper category (Cat. 5e and Cat. 6) flexible cable. Cat. 6 plug Cat. 5e flexible cable Cat. 6 flexible cable Cat 5e (Classic System) Cat 6 (Star System)

Cords 6 Dec. 2005 RJ45 patch cords Features All cords by R&Mfreenet are supporting Gigabit Ethernet. Patented Pair Crossover design will assure consistency of NEXT and RL performances. Pairs on double layer increases separation of conductors and reduces NEXT. 100% stringent testing and superior peformance will assure R&Mfreenet cords will outperform limits of the Standards for their Class. Support all R&Mfreenet security features. Recommended wiring Pin assignment of RJ45 plugs 1 8 1
