Defining your research question Question should not be a quick answer or fact. What is Bipolar disorder (This is a definition) Question should not be so open ended as to not have an answer. What or when was the first terrorist act? (One can never find a “true” answer).

Defining a research topic Note if your topic is too broad: Why do we have wars? (Why are the major conflicts in the 20 th century related to land resources?) Note if your topic is too narrow: Why is it difficult for guys in Santa Ana to find a job? Let the material guide you
