Denton ISD Adult Education is providing English as a Second Language (ESL) and Work Literacy Concept services to the employees of Trinity Industries. Work Literacy Concepts are based on the specific operations of Trinity Industries. What We Do

Trinity Industries Trinity businesses provide industrial products and services such as railcars, barges, storage containers, and aggregates. Trinity positively impacts the overall economy by supplying essential infrastructure-related products. The Employer

Trinity Industries Employees The employees are welders that do a variety of jobs. They assemble barges, towers, storage containers, etc. We began the program with 15 Trinity Industries employees. These employees do the day-to-day, hands on work for the company. Who We Are Teaching

Trinity Industries contacted us after seeing program information in the local Denton newspaper. They initially made contact with the Program Coordinator. A meeting was set between the Trinity Industries representatives and the Denton ISD Adult Education Program Director and Coordinator to determine their workplace literacy needs. How Did They Find Us?

The first meeting was cordial, friendly, and exciting. We discussed providing a regular ESL class for their employees. They provided us with specific operational standards to allow us to tailor our ESL classes to specific jobs. The First Meeting

The services that Denton ISD’s Adult Education Program offers appropriately coincide with Trinity Industries’ needs. We are able to provide the services at the work site. We are able to provide the services immediately after the employee is released from their regular job. We also agree that employee’s family members are able to attend the classes. “Selling” the Program
