1. Monica and Kasja from Sweden visited Ashurst Wood Primary School October 2009

2. They showed us a toy moose. There are many moose in Sweden. People have to be careful in case a moose hits their car.

3. Monica and Kasja also brought Pippi Longstocking and a famous horse. The author of Pippi Longstocking is Swedish.

4. We looked at the Swedish flag and coloured one of our own. The colours in the flag are yellow and blue.

5. We looked at a map of Sweden and we were told about famous places in Sweden. We looked at the pictures. After Monica and Kasja’s visit, Class 4 watched a TV programme about building the Ice Hotel which is in the north of Sweden.

6. We enjoyed listening to Monica and Kasja. Thank you very much for visiting our school.
