Chuji Araki was born on 1920 年 10 月 21 日 Father, Chotaro Araki, and, mother, Kikuno Araki

Chuji attended Osaka National High School 1938-1941 年 (currently Osaka University)

During his attendance at Osaka High School, he received a scholarship from the Fukushima Spinning Industry.

Chuji graduated from Tokyo Imperial University as the valedictorian of his class in Mechanical Engineering, which was known as the most difficult area of study.

Nagoya University wanted hired him as a researcher for the Kawasaki Aircraft Mass Production division during the Second World War. 1944 年

Chuji received a grant from the Department of Education as special research student and was paid 90 yen a month. Equivalent to ~200,000 yen or ~$20,000 to current currencies. He donated half of his income to the Tenrikyo Seicho Branch Church every month where his father, Chotaro Araki, was the head minister. Since it was a time of war, all metals were confiscated to be used to manufacture into firearms and bullets.

1947 年 He applied to become a professor at Tokyo Imperial University, however, because Japan lost the war, jobs were very limited. Thus, he got a government job at the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI). In the same year, he married Mikiko Murakami who was the daughter of Tenrikyo Sento Church and began raising a family

His job at MITI got his first business trip abroad in 1956 to Saigon, Bangkok, Karachi, Singapore, and many other countries. 1957 1956 年
