Colleges and Universities complained about graduating seniors Business and Employment Community complained about graduating seniors Though not a state requirement, it is a requirement of Onslow County of all Seniors Yes, next year’s seniors will have to do the project. This project is not going away.

Paper - in English class Product - real, tangible, 15 hours of time Portfolio - notebook with the evidence Presentation - only 10-15 minutes

Submit topic by September 24th Paper due to English teacher in November Find mentor by October 31st Portfolio & Product due before Presentation time in March “CELEBRATION Time”

Have all the same deadlines as year-long seniors except Portfolio and Product due before Christmas Break; Presentations in JANUARY You do weekly reflections instead of bi-weekly reflections If you do not CLEAR ALL PARTS of GRAD Project by the end of 1 st semester, you will lose your “Early Grad” status and be scheduled for classes for 2 nd semester.

When picking a topic, make sure it’s something that WORKS for you!! Big or Small Expensive,Low cost, or Free Have an idea where to find a mentor

You must have one; It’s NOT optional. Must be a NON-relative Must be at least 21 years old You must have 3-5 “documentable” contacts with the mentor Must be an expert in the field Can live out of state Will be contacted by your advisors**
