5. Belts of the USA – Activity #2
I can…: identify and label the various belt regions of the United States when provided a blank map of the USA.
Belt regions are sections of our country that share certain characteristics which can be climatic, economic, and cultural in nature. These areas are not legally defined; they commonly overlap and have vague borders.
Use the internet to locate the following belt regions of the United Sates:
Sun Belt - Rust Belt -Dairy Belt Silicon Valley
Corn Belt - Bible Belt Wheat Belt Deep South
Label each map.
Write a brief description of each belt on the corresponding map.
Color each belt region a different color on the maps provided.
