Objectives : The aim of the lecture is to shed light on count and non count nouns. The use of |How much v.s How many Common units of measurement non count nouns with there + be Little v.s a few Not much v.s Not many

Count & Non Count Nouns Non count nouns include: Ideas( history, knowledge) Emotions or feelings(satisfaction, peace) Activities( tennis, swimming) Mass nouns(things that can be measured: gasoline, rive) or grouped together( furniture) The most common mass nouns are names of food.

Non count Nouns with There+ be There + be is used with non count nouns. With non count nouns, the verb be is always singular: there is, there was, there has been. Indefinite article( a, an) aren’t used.
