Building Your Campaign Organization Selecting Key State Positions: Campaign Manager: Requisite Qualifications/Skills/Duties: - Proven or demonstrated organizing ability - Skilled at working with and managing teams of people - Trustworthy (trusted by candidate, campaign) - Shares candidate’s political and organizational vision Note: Consult, Consult, Consult (before acting)! (You do not want to anger candidate).

Building Your Campaign Organization Selecting Key State Positions: Treasurer: Requisite Qualifications/Skills/Duties: - Detailed-oriented person (ideally with some type of accounting background). - Responsible for tracking and reporting/filing all campaign finances (contributions and expenditures) Note: Complexity of Campaign Finance “Since campaign financing procedures are somewhat different from those used in the business world, someone with previous campaign finance experience will provide a significant advantage.”
