WP2 – Strategy, governance and liaisons EuroVO-ICE– First review – 26 October 2011 Françoise Genova, EuroVO-ICE coordinator,2 WP objectives The Work Package objectives are to ensure all the project high-level co-ordination activities, and to explore long term sustainability, international co-operation and liaisons with other disciplines. WP2-1 – Project overseeing –Defines the project programme –Oversees the project development and monitors the progress –Oversees the scientific aspects of the project WP2-2 – European co-operation and articulation with the national level –Manages the participation of the Euro-VO members which are not partners in the project –Manages the liaisons with the policy level (European Commission, Astronet, national and intergovernmental agencies and the policy makers in the partner countries) –Explores the extension of the astronomical VObs community to other European countries WP2-3 – Liaisons with other disciplines –Liaises with other EC-funded projects in “neighbouring” disciplines to explore possible co-operations WP2-4 – Strategy definition –Explores the different aspects of long term sustainability of the project
