3. Weather extremes in winter In winter people are influenced by:  Extreme cold (low temperature)  Blizzard (a snow storm with very strong winds)

4. Weather extremes in spring and autumn In spring and autumn we may get wet through in different kinds of rain:  Drizzle (fine light rain)  Shower (a short period of rain)  Cloudburst (a heavy unexpected fall of rain)

5. Weather extremes in summer  In summer we have to bear extreme heat (being hot/temperature)

6. Climate Events We shouldn’t forget about: Hurricane (has very strong winds and is usually at see) Tornado (has very strong winds which move in a circle) Typhoon (violent tropical storms with strong winds) Squall (a sudden strong violent wind, in a rain or snowstorm)

7. How to save yourself from extremes of weather If it is very hot – don’t forget to take some water with you or just stay in If it rains – don’t forget to take your umbrella If it snows or it’s very cold – don’t forget to put on warm clothes
