What is the Leaving Cert Applied Programme? Alternative, full time “2 Year Leaving Certificate Programme” One of the three options offered by the Department of Education. Available to students who wish to follow a more practically based programme. Why “Applied”-designed to allow students to learn practical skills and apply them.

What is similar/different about the Leaving Certificate Applied Programme? Similar It is a full two year Leaving Certificate Programme. Different It is different to the traditional Leaving Cert Programme in 3 main ways: 1. Content. 2. Approach. 3. Assessment.
