Hello. My name is Mrs. Holle’s Class Walnut Bend Elementary School Meet the teacher August 2014

Holle's Heroes all began when Mrs. Holle started thinking about becoming a teacher. I remember it like it was yesterday, a dear friend was having trouble. So, Mrs. Holle dashed over to help. She then saw a light bulb go off. Mrs. Holle realized she needed to get an education to start helping others. She went to UNT and got her bachelor's degree. But that was not the end for our young hero (AKA... Mrs. Holle). She got married in June 1 year ago and then something extraordinary happened. Mrs. Holle got a job at the wonderful school of pirates, Walnut Bend. Mrs. Holle found her super power. It is teaching! But now she is asking each of her students to find their super power and become what they were meant to be... a good reader, a scientist, a teacher, a historian, and anything else your heart desires.

Here is an idea of what most people think of when they hear classroom rules.rules.

Every day your child will take home his or her folder and inside will be a behavior chart. This is just so I can let you know how they are doing each day. I will also contact you if it is serious or a reoccurring offense. I also like to encourage good behavior with notes home as well. For maintain order in the classroom so learning can take place I use the tally system. By the end of each week I will count up how many tallies each student has received and the two highest will get to eat lunch with me. And if my budget holds up at the end of each month those who have sat with me their names go in container and I draw a winner for a book.

I love for parents to be involved with their students learning. If anyone wants to volunteer coming in and helping during guided reading that would be awe-inspiring. Also when we have class parties it would be grand if anyone can help with that. When it gets closer to the time for the parties I will send out volunteer forms for anyone who can.

Homework Policy: Any class work not finished during the school day or an extension of concepts learned in class. This is an opportunity for students to reinforce the skills we are working on in class. Homework must be completed and turned in the following day unless stated otherwise, in addition to any additional homework assignments.

Newsletters will be sent home every other week so you can stay involved and know what's going on. Please check your child’s folder. My Email: hholle@walnutbendisd.net Phone: 940-727-8034 I also have my contact information on the apples if you can just pick one up before you go, thanks.
