2. Computer Lab Rules 1. Come to class on time. 2. Attend to personal needs before coming to class. 3. Remain in your assigned seat unless you have permission to get up. 4. Throw scraps away at the end of the period on your way out. 5. Do not chew gum, eat candy, or other food in class unless you have been given special permission. 6. Talk only when permitted. 7. Use polite speech and body language. 8. Follow the teacher's directions. 9. Use the computers according to the AUP.

3. Consequences  Breaking any of the classroom rules will result in an after school detention with the teacher.  If it is a serious offense, the student’s parent or guardian will be contacted and it may result in suspension or cancellation of privileges for a trimester, as well as additional disciplinary action.

4. Acceptable Use Policy AUP 1.1 Student use of the district’s ICT resources is a Privilege, not a right. Privilege: “A special advantage granted only to a particular person or group of people.”

5. 1.2. Acceptable Use. Students may use the ICT’s resources (computers, tablets, networks, and Internet services) for educational purposes only. That includes: Activities that involve research or homework to meet educational needs. Participate in distance learning activities. Students will make use of the above privilege under the supervision of their teachers or an adult staff member. Acceptable Use Policy AUP

6. 1.3. No Expectation of privacy. 1.4.Online language and behavior is expected to be the same as in a physical classroom. Acceptable Use Policy AUP

7. Internet Guidelines 2.1. School district uses filtering software to block the Internet in accordance to CIPA (Children’s Internet Protection Act). 2.2. Failure to comply with proper Internet district guidelines and rules may result in loss of ICT resource access privileges, disciplinary action, and/or legal action. Acceptable Use Policy AUP

8. Internet Guidelines 2.3. Students will be responsible for their actions and activities involving the schools’ ICT resources (that includes computer files, passwords, and accounts). Acceptable Use Policy AUP

9. 2.4. Examples of unacceptable uses of the ICT resources include: 2.4.1. Accessing inappropriate content 2.4.2. Violating copyrights 2.4.3. Plagiarism 2.4.4.Copying Software 2.4.5.Non-School Related uses 2.4.6 Misuse of Passwords/Unauthorized access Acceptable Use Policy AUP

10. 2.4.7. Personal Safety A student should never reveal: his/her full name his/her address and/or telephone number his/her password on the Internet without permission from parents or the supervising teacher. Acceptable Use Policy AUP

Cyber-bullying  Cyber-bullying is prohibited: In school, during and after school hours, at home and in locations outside of the home through the use of technology owned, used, or leased by Lincoln Public Schools.  It is also prohibited at non-school related locations through the use of technology not owned by LPS if it disrupts the education process or the orderly operation of a school or creates a hostile environment for the victim.  Students involved in cyber-bullying will be subject to disciplinary actions. 13. 4. Social Media  Students’ behaviors and actions online reflect not only upon themselves, but also upon the school district as a whole.  Students must behave in an ethical, respectful, responsible, safe, and legal manner. 5. Community Use  Minors visiting our school must comply with this AUP to use district ICT resources. Acceptable Use Policy AUP
