Label Formats : ECI At Electro Cables we only use Intermec Printers. We started with them a long time ago. Unfortunately they don’t play well with others. This document s intended only for AX2 2014 conference attendees and their parent companies, holding a valid AXIS ERP license from Aptean (previously Consona, previously AXIS). 2 Sample Intermec Label Format

Sample Intermec Labels Printed Label Codes Revealed

AXIS ERP Label Codes * * * Confidential Information of Aptean, Inc.

AXIS ERP Label Codes : Setup * * Confidential Information of Aptean, Inc.

AXIS ERP Label Limitations AXIS can only handle labels of up to 32 kb in size. Our ECI logo by itself was larger than this limit. When we used LabelView to generate our label formats, they would not print properly. We needed to embed all of our logos in the printer’s memory Intermec printers use a bizarre.gfx image format called Monochrome 1 bit per pixel

Intermec : Monochrome 1bit / pixel This image storage method uses only a tiny fraction of the memory that a.jpg or.png would use, I assume that is why it was chosen by Intermec. Interestingly, it looks a lot like an Intermec format file, when viewed in a text editor.

Image Conversion Fortunately for us, James was able to build an easy to use conversion tool to convert all the logos we wanted to use on our labels to a format we could upload to the Intermec printers and point to in the formats. Line U18; calls logo c0 (which is our Electro Cables Logo) We can provide the conversion tool to anyone interested
