3  Turkey is geographical located in Southeastern Europe and Southwestern Asia.  Considered a secular parliamentary republic government.  Islamic religion  Turkish Language

4  Fought as allies to the US during WWII and beginning of the Cold War.  In 1947 the US designated Turkey, under the provision of the Truman Doctrine, which allocated economic and military support against threats from the Soviet Union.  Contributed personnel to the United Nation forces in the Korean war (1950-53).  Join NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) in 1952.  Establish the Incirlik Air Base

5  Constructed in 1951  Located bout 7.5 miles east of Adana  serves as a regional storage center for war reserve materials — supplies and equipment used in combat operations  Host 90 B61 nuclear Bombs.  Played a critical role during the Cold war, Gulf war and Iraq war

The “Hood Event”.  Supports turkey bid to join the European Union  In 2008, Both cooperated on peaceful use of nuclear energy. Doing so established a agreement *  Obama visited on 4/6/10 urging turkey to come to term with its past and resolve its Armenian issues.
