The SAP crystals expanded and blocked the cap opening. This prevented gas from escaping and did not suck up all the liquid. Thus the SAP was a failure.

3 Car Design We went with simplicity when designing our car The bow was added because it was Civil War week and we wanted our car to be Powered by Orange!

5 Conclusion On race day, the performance of our car was inconsistent Initially the car flipped or went out of bounds To fix this we used zip ties to keep the bottleneck in place After that it went straight but the distance varied greatly due to the front wheels locking We fixed this by taking off some of the K’nex so the wheels could be free spinning This led to the car going way too far but the stopping point was based solely on the reaction If we would had more time then we could have found the right amount of reactants needed to travel 25ft exactly
