15  ITSS will define and promote one technology strategy !  ITSS’ strategy will be understood and endorsed by clients.  Technology strategy will trend toward uniformity, not unsustainable diversity.  Excellent use of technology is more important than using excellent technology.  ITSS will choose and demonstrate prowess in targeted areas of technology consistent Stanford University’s role as innovator and leader. Technology Strategy

16  ITSS will define and promote one technology strategy !  There will be one technology strategy plan for all ITSS.  Discussions with clients and other IT organizations will be consistent with this plan.  The technology plan will be regularly updated to reflect changes in business plan and advances in technology.

17  TSS’ strategy will be understood and endorsed by clients !  Client forums solicited  Vision articulated to clients  Technology strategy must meet the needs of Stanford University Technology Strategy

18  Technology strategy will trend toward uniformity, not unsustainable diversity.  ITSS will select technologies and corresponding products as preferred.  No technical group can decide unilaterally what technology and product to implement. Technology Strategy
