Third Sunday of Lent
2
And so we gather. In the name of the Father… Mr Allen-Wicks
3
1.Sometimes the road seems long, My energy is spent. Then, Lord I think of you And I am given strength. 2.Stones often bar my path And there are times I fall, But you are always there To help me when I call. 3. Just as you calmed the wind And walked upon the sea Conquer my living Lord The storms that threaten me. Walk with me, oh my Lord Through the darkest night And brightest day. Be at my side, oh Lord, Hold my hand and guide me On my way 4. Help me to pierce the mists that cloud my heart and mind so that I shall not fear the steepest mountain-side. 5. As once you healed the lame And gave sight to the blind, Help me when I’m downcast To hold my head up high.

I wonder what you heard in the Gospel today? Why did people go to the Temple in Jerusalem? Which feast had Jesus gone to celebrate on this occasion? Why do you think that Jesus became so angry? Mr Allen-Wicks

As brothers and sisters in one loving family, together let us pray to our Heavenly Father. Lord hear our prayer. The response is sung, Lord hear our prayer. We pray for the Church throughout the world: that it may be strong in standing up for what it believes and may help to build a fairer world. Lord hear our prayer. Lord in your mercy, Lord hear our prayer. We pray for all the people throughout the world: that they may get a fair price for the goods they produce and may live life to the full., Lord hear our prayer. Lord in your mercy, Lord hear our prayer. We pray for our parish, family and friends: that we may follow Jesus’ example and never be afraid for standing up for what is right and fair., Lord hear our prayer. Lord in your mercy, Lord hear our prayer. Miss Stevens
12
Knowing that our Heavenly Father is listening, in the silence of our hearts, let us share our own unspoken prayers with Him.
13
Let us say this prayer together Loving Father, let our lives give praise and glory to your holy name, and make us fit to be called your sons and daughters. Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen

1.Longing for light, we wait in darkness. Longing for truth, we turn to you. Make us your own, your holy people, Light of the world to see. 2. Longing for peace, our world is troubled. Longing for hope, many despair. Your word alone has pow’r to save us. Make us your living voice. 3. Longing for food, many are hungry, Longing for water, many still thirst. Make us your bread, broken for others, shared until all are fed. 4. Longing for shelter, many are homeless, Longing for warmth, many are cold. Make us your building, sheltering others, walls made of living stones. 5. Many the gifts, many the people, many the hearts that yearn to belong. Let us be servants to one another, making your kingdom come. Christ, be our light! Shine in our hearts. Shine through the darkness. Christ, be our light! Shine in your Church gathered today.
