XBRL for the local authorities Participants: 16 waterboards in pilot Close cooperation with Semansys 30 municipalities now provide XBRL data Several software vendors (IBS, Decade, Procura, PinkRoccade, Coda) Extensive contacts with various interest groups Statistics Netherlands provided taxonomy, transport module, information meetings

XBRL for the local authorities Experiences: SN observed two implementation methods: Method 1 –Implementation specifically aimed at the message for SN (instance oriented): –easy implementation for software builder –problems anticipated with changing taxonomies, validation and messages for other parties not possible Method 2 –Implemenation taxonomy oriented: ready for future application/changes: - Implementation more complex –Easy to expand for future changes in taxonomy, validation, quality controls
