Many large herbivores live in temperate grasslands. Bison, gazelles, zebras, rhinoceroses, and wild horses

Carnivores like lions and wolves are also found in temperate grasslands

Threats Cultivation, mining, and draughts Prairie soils have lost 35% to 40% of their organic matter in just35 to 40 years.
