Section I – What I know, assume and imagine Brainstorming and Pre-Writing Stage a. On a sheet of paper, jot down what you already know about this career. b. Write down what you want to learn about this career. c. Include personal perspective like why you are interested in this career or experiences that lead you to want to investigate this career.

Section 2 – What I Discovered Researching my career 1. Internet sources: http://www.bls.gov/k12/index.htm http://www.acinet.org/ 2. Library resources 3. Interview a person in your chosen career 4. Citing where I got my information (use bibliography guide)

Section 3 – Summary/Reflection What important things did I learn about this career? How will this information help me choose a college? Have I changed my mind about this career as a result of what I learned? Explain. What type of classes will be important for me to take to build strengths for this career?

Section 4: Presentation Use PowerPoint to present to class Length should be 7 to 10 slides Last slide should be the bibliography, showing where you got your information May use bullet points Use 5 x 5 rule when designing presentation
