What is the desert? The desert is extremely hot and dry Only rains 10 inches a year large land with little or no vegetation deserts are known for supporting plants and animals About one fifth of the earths surface.

There are two types of Deserts: Hot Deserts The hot deserts are the Arabian, Australian, Chihuahuan, Kalahari, Mojave, Monte, Sahara, Sonoran, and Thar. How do the Animals Adapt to there Inviroment? Animals that live in the desert have to adapt to there inviroment. Some of the animals never drink and just get there water from plants and others will sleep during the day and hunt at night when its not as hot.
