What does this mean for you? Argos is the tool you’ll use to view the data you want to see Any requests for reports/data will come to the Office of Central Reporting Most data needs will be provided using a self-service approach, however, we will work with you to provide the best solution to provide what you need (self-service means you can use Argos to view the information whenever you need it) We provide training We work closely with users to ensure accuracy in reporting and accuracy in the database Commonly used reports will have links on theRock

This can be filtered, sorted on the screen or exported to Excel OLAP (online analytical processing) – a data cube, multi-dimensional format with columns and rows that can be moved around, similar to a pivot table, to produce various analytical views of data Dashboard – an tool used to provide related data elements, all in one place ODS (operational data store) – a database used for reporting that is refreshed with Banner data nightly (some reports may be produced directly from Banner for real-time data needs)

Example of Parameters

Example of Quickview and Dashboard

Example of OLAP Shows how many students/credits are registered in a specific course, by instructor, by class

Same OLAP now showing each student, the courses they are registered for and how many credits
