The Worcester Award: Benefits to Students Will engage in a wider range of activities, within and beyond the curriculum Will recognise the contribution of these activities to their future employability Will be able to articulate these to others

How does it work? Students take part in a range of activities drawn from 4 groups: Work Experience Personal and Skills development Contribution to local, national or global society Effective marketing of self

Work experience Personal and Skills Development Contribution to the local, national or global society Effective marketing of self Minimum 40 hoursMinimum 20 hours Participation in any 2 of the below Paid work experience on campus Membership and engagement in any club/society Volunteering in the community Participation in CV clinic Paid work experience off campus Student representative Community sports Participation in Gradskills Volunteering (20 hours service required) Engagement in enterprise activities Worcester Outreach Worker or similar role Mock interview through careers centre Students Associate Scheme VolunteeringLanguage module Careers or personal development module SPEED Language Module or other language course Activity through international centre Curriculum based CV or applications sessions Graduate Advantage or similar work experience schemes Activity through International Centre Active member of off campus society Grad Impact Work placement as part of your course Active member of off campus society Overseas exchange programme Interview Techniques (Graduate Advantage)

Students demonstrate in writing and verbally: An understanding of the workplace and requirements of the world of work, drawing on own experiences Skills and attributes developed whilst in H.E., and how these would be applied in wider contexts Active citizenship by making contribution to local, national or global society Promote skills, attributes and experiences to others
