3. Supporting Sentences/The Body The body of a paragraph has supporting sentences It gives detail to develop the main idea of the paragraph. ( more about this later)

4. The Concluding Sentence The Concluding Sentence re-states the Topic Sentence in another way. Ex. In conclusion, being a high school students

These are the Supporting Sentences of your paragraph. P – Introduces the point you want to make E - Gives examples/reasons/facts to you reader to support your point. E- Explains how your examples connect to your point

7. PEE Method Topic: Describe Riverside high school Point – Riverside is a wonderful school because of the many extra-curricular activities that are available to students. Evidence – Riverside offers extra-curricular activities from sports, to clubs to the arts. For example, during the fall, we have a swim team, junior and varsity volleyball. We also offer clubs like the multi-cultural club, green club and poetry club. Explanation – Having a variety of extra-curricular activities offered makes Riverside a more enjoyable school and therefore a great school to attend.
