2 EQ: What is expected on the Writing Test? PREWRITE!!!!!!!!! Create an ENGAGING introduction!!!!! You need a hook and a thesis statement in the introduction. The reader should know the exact topic of your essay through a clear and descriptive thesis statement. Need to write at least a 1 ½ pages, but no more than 2 pages! You need to write at least 80 words per paragraph (except the introduction)

3 EQ: What is expected on the Writing Test? Don’t skip lines. Indent paragraphs. Use a variety of sentence types: compound, complex, simple; compound/complex. Use personal anecdotes (experiences) Don’t write a narrative!!!!!! Use a variety of transitions and transitional phrases!!!!! You may use a minimal number of contractions!
