Goddess of What? Aphrodite was the goddess of love, beauty, and fertility. She also protected sailors at sea.

Other Names Aphrodite was also known as Venus. This was her Roman name.

Where Was Aphrodite Born from? There are two theories of where Aphrodite came from. 1.From sea-foam 2.Zeus and Dione

How Was Aphrodite Chosen Most Beautiful? Paris, the Trojan prince, was asked to judge who was the most beautiful Olympian goddess between Aphrodite, Hera, and Athena. Paris chose Aphrodite.

Aphrodite’s Affairs Aphrodite had many affairs. Her real husband was Paris, whom she eloped with. Her affairs involved Jason, Aeneas, Hephaestus, and Ares.

Echo

Who Was Echo? Echo was and Oread, or mountain nymph. She loved her own voice.

How She Lost Her Voice? There are two different versions of how Echo lost her voice. 1.Zeus hired Echo to occupy Hera while he continued with his adulteries, but Hera found out and punished Echo by taking away her voice. 2.Hera became upset with hearing Echo gossip about Zeus’s affairs.

Echo’s Love Echo loved a human named Narcissus. He was so handsome that any person, boy or girl, who looked at him immediately fell in love with him. When Echo met him she fell in love with him and followed him everywhere without being seen.

Narcissus When Narcissus realized he was lost, he called out, “Is anyone here?” Echo replied, “Here, here, here!” because she could only repeat the last word of what someone said. When Echo showed him that she loved him with her hands, Narcissus became upset and rejected her love.She was so upset she prayed to Aphrodite for death. Aphrodite answered her prayer but let her voice live on.

Goddess of What? Iris was the goddess of the rainbow. She was also the messenger of Olympian Gods.

Who Are Her Parents? Iris was the daughter of a Titan named Thaumas and a nymph named Electra. < Electra

What Did She Do? Iris was believed to replenish the rain clouds with water from the sea. She also was believed to run errands for the Gods especially for Hera.
