Q: What is a Copyright? A: A law that protects your control over the creative work you make so that people must get your permission before they copy, share, or perform your work. Q: What is Fair Use? A: The ability to use copyrighted work without permission, but only in certain ways and in specific situations Q: What is Creative Commons? A: A kind of copyright that makes it easier for people to copy, share, and build on other’s creative work, as long as they give the creator credit for it.

Review Student Handout To Be Considered “Fair Use”, it has to: 1. Use a Small Amount of the original work 2. Rework and Reuse in a Different Way 3. Use for Non-Profit (can’t make money off of it) 4. Add New Meaning to the original work
