6 Professional Development Plans These written plans are frequently negotiated by the administrator, supervisor, or volunteer coordinator to help explicate expectations for growth and development over a specified period of time, most often annually. Learning organizations use professional development plans or PD’s to help ensure that all employees understand the importance of self-improvement as a basis for organizational improvement.
