CRITICAL READING: GENERAL RULES Sentence Completion  Answer them first because they take less time.  With two-blankers, focus on one blank at a time.  Look for SIGNAL words.  Support  Contrast  Cause-Effect  Definition Reading Comprehension  For short passages, read the questions and then go back to the passage.  For long passages, read the passage then read the questions.  Leave confusing or uninteresting passages to complete last.
