FFA In 1928 FFA USED TO stand for Future Farmers of America but now it is called the National FFA Organization. Currently, the letters do not represent words. This name change in 1988 is due to the fact that not everyone in agriculture is participating in production farming – we have small animal veterinarians, florists, landscapers, etc. The area of agriculture is more diverse than it was in the past.
