The U.S. and Soviet Union are now the most powerful countries in the world. Former European powers such as France, Germany, and England are weakened. Much of these countries lay in ruin.

Eastern Europe is largely controlled by communist Soviet Union. Western Europe is strongly influenced by the U.S. The dropping of the atomic bombs sets off a weapons and influence race between the S.U. and U.S.

Promoted cooperation between world powers U.S., Soviet Union, GB, China, and France are most powerful members. Creation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, to prevent future events, such as the Holocaust, from occuring.
